Exhaust H Pipe

Recently got this video about the C5 H pipe restriction and wondering if anyone else has found this and changed it.

I had seen this in a different video before I changed my system to Borla. So when I took my old exhaust off, I had to look and see for myself. Sure enough, it was just as you see here. Makes no sense from what I thought I knew for decades about an H pipe. My Borla X pipe makes more sense in that regard.

I'll have to check my H pipe when I get it out next year. I would think that restriction would have some effect on sound and performance.

I think it makes the H pipe a complete waste of time. Glad I went Borla and got rid of it. It would be interesting to see if C5 Z06 were the same.

2001 Z06 with 4 cats... the H pipe is straight through, no restriction. 02+ has that restricted H pipe hole.
