I am picking up my C8 this Friday.
They are pushing the essential maintenance package and are offering me a special offer (he said I can get it if Ali am Costco member???) 7 years up to 60K for $2400
Is it worth it

It is basically oil changes and filters

I expect to put no more than 20 K in 7years.

He is also suggesting extended warranty 7 years and 60 K for $3900

How expensive are oil changes for C8?
 
Congrats, call Don Le at Georgetown Chevrolet, he has helped many members here and will do the same for you. Read the recent thread entries titled “Extended Warranty” under C8, it’s quite recent from last month. Then call Don Le! If you plan on keeping your C8 for 6 or more years regardless of kms driven the essential maintenance plan can make sense especially if you are not going to perform any of your own service work i.e. oil changes etc.

The Transmission canister filter alone is over $800 ….
Ignore that. They now seem to have dropped a lot to under $200 USD . Sorry for the confusion.

There price for extended warranty is very high. Shop around.

Here is an idea. When you pick up your car, mosey on over to the Service Department and ask "how much are oil changes?"....




Take the $6300 and throw it towards XPEL. You are driving less than 3000km a year. Need to keep the dust from settling into your paint and tanking your trade in value...






Is this your first new car purchase? Asking for potential first car purchaser's....

I can see why everyone say he is the go to guy for getting warranty and maintenance plan.
He saved me lots of $$$
And also he was very informative and friendly.
