Hey Guys. Like many of you I purchased the Essential care maintenance extended warranty through Don Le. It seemed like a no brainer doing the math on the required services that the C8 required. Also since I was never going to get enough km for the free DCT filter change in the first 2 years. I am finally coming up to the 12,000km and just tried to set up my appointment. My local dealer is telling me that the DCT filter change is not included. Has anyone else run into this? I specifically asked Don when I purchased and was told it was covered. Reached out to him and am waiting for a response. If it isn't covered I threw away $2600 on a useless plan.
 
FYI.... Don got back to me and says that it is covered. He has let me know how to handle this and if I still have an issue to contact him and he will help me deal with it. Was going to delete the thread but chose to show that not all dealerships are up on things and that Don Le will step up when needed. Thanks Don. I will keep you posted on how I make out.
 
I think that with all the E.V.s being sold 97% increase in the USA since January first to end of March , and no maintenance to be done on them, dealers are trying to take advantage of us ICE owners and hopefully will be ignorant enough to say , ok I did not know. I am seeing a lot of posts here that says dealers are trying this crap and I am sure it is not only Vettes! Also read some of this kind of things on my phone, Google news.

It definitely DOES cover it. I had it done under that coverage.

I was unsure about this for my 2024 C8 as it was never written in black and white from GM, then about a couple of months or so I got one of those emails from onstar health reports for the month and under warranty’s it says about the filter, I also received a letter from GM stating it was free.
 
This is from the GMPP pamphlet. Essential care is what I got from Don. The is what is covered for the time/milage you selected.

Just an update. The dealer will be doing it for free. It appears that the young lady that I was dealing with was unaware of what the essential care covered. Don was very helpful in sending me the literature that I needed to send to her for confirmation.

:Woohoo:I get it. A woman answered the service department, so I could schedule my oil change and she asked me if it was the Chevy Bolt!!!:oops:

Your best bet is to contact Don directly. [email protected] He will happily hook you up. Everyone has highly recommend him as do I. Don’t forget to mention the best Corvette form on the Internut ! CCF ! You should be fine. No dumb questions, just dumb replies. Hope this helps.

Nothing really, but it was funny. I think they should get a better formation/training though. :D
 
Booked my next visit with Georgetown Chevrolet @LeDon. OLF, Air and Cabin Filter, Vehicle Health Inspection. All cover with Essential Care. Add this to last years DCT Filter and Fluid service and OLF. I think I'm ahead of the game already. Still covered for 2 OLF and a DCT Filter service. Great deal, great all around Dealership and Don Le offered me a deal that I didn't think I was entitled too.









And yes, it's not a Mod lol...
