DTC Filter Change/Service

Picture is wrong but it's the correct number for Stingray and Z06
Gilles your right, the part number is correct and back in May of 2021 when I had my first DCT filter changed on my 2020 it was $244.07 for the filter, so the price Chris is charging at GM Parts Depot is great along with free shipping. Everyone needs to take advantage of the free DCT filter change at 12,000 km and before 24 or 36 months depending on the year of their car in order to save almost $900.

Has anyone done the 36000km yet my 2022 is due for it now. The dealer price is about $1299. Let me know Thanks.
A couple of things. First, your dealers price is too high. Second, have you considered getting a maintenance plan?

The Tremec dual-clutch transmission in 2020-2024 C8 Corvettes has two transmission filters:
• An internal transmission filter (inside the transmission)
• An external canister filter
However, the main focus and maintenance requirement is on the external canister filter.
Filter Replacement Schedule:
• The external canister filter must be replaced initially at 7,500 miles (12,000 km) or 2-3 years, whichever comes first.
• After the first replacement, the canister filter should be changed every 22,500 miles (36,000 km).
• Transmission fluid changes are recommended every 45,000 miles, independently of filter changes.
• If the filter is replaced earlier than 7,500 miles, it still needs to be replaced again at 7,500 miles.
• GM extended factory maintenance coverage for the first filter change to 2-3 years or 7,500 miles to accommodate low-mileage vehicles.
This schedule is critical for transmission longevity and warranty coverage. GM warns that failure to follow the filter replacement intervals may lead to denied warranty claims. The transmission filter maintenance minder alerts the driver when a filter change is due.
In summary, there is primarily one serviceable external canister filter in the Tremec DCT that requires replacement starting at 7,500 miles and then every 22,500 miles thereafter.

I know this topic has been discussed but I have a fairly specific question.

I bought a 2023 HTC used with 5,500km on it at the beginning of the summer. I am planning on taking the vehicle in this week for service (oil change, recalls etc) before I park it for the winter (and to take advantage of the second “free” oil change). I will also get the DTC service as I am at ~12,000km.

The dealership is telling me that the DTC change will not be covered ($930) as the DTC service “would have been done” when the car got its first oil change @ 5,000km last October - before I bought it. I don’t know if this was the case. Is there a way to tell or should I just accept this and suck up the cost?

Thoughts appreciated. Thanks. Harvey.
Go to another dealership. By the sounds of it, these guys have no clue other than selling a vet. I wouldn’t trust them with my vet if that was the case.
Speaking of which, I just brought my 2025 C8 in for the first oils change, just under 4K km…. Just so it has fresh oil before I put it away for the winter

Either set them straight or tell them to pound sand. GM requires the TX service to be performed at 12,000 km +or- 500 km .
This is a warranty requirement. Here is what I believe to be the latest information regarding this. Thanks to @Murray20c8 for posting this.
