Problem for them would be that they are beyond the Karman Line , about 100 km up , which is where the earth’s gravity no longer has any effect. He obviously wasn’t.

You would want to make sure that you were pointed in the right direction. And it might take longer than your air supply lasted to reach the Earth’s atmosphere I would think. Wouldn’t want to attempt it but it certainly is an interesting concept. Just don’t eat one of the Chili MRE’s before you set off, lol .
