Hi,

First time Corvette owner here.

Just bought my 2025 Z06 3LZ and planning to do some mods.. Any recommendation for a mod shop in Edmonton, Alberta?

planning to do cosmetically - upgrade to carbon fiber ZR1 style hood, carbon fiber rear bumper/diffuser and a few more CF goodies.. looking to buy from Racing Sports Concept ot Extremeonline Store (both US).

I bought sports cats, 20mm spacer and jack point pucks from 2M, Fabrication, order arrived very fast, has not inspected yet.. still shopping for valved aftermarket exhaust.. maybe Corsa., or Concept 841 (complete with headers) or LeMans Edition..

the car is still with the dealer but I can pick it up any time. They also offered to do the mods, but the manager has gone cold and not answering my email anymore. so I am looking for a qualified person or shop, preferably in Edmonton.

Welcome to the forum. Not familiar with Edmonton shops but someone local here may know of someone. Davenport Motorsports in Calgary are the go to in central and southern Alberta for mods but not sure how much cosmetic mods they do.

heard from the dealer again today (after a few days of silence), they’d do it 😊

I have not done a lot of mods in previous/current vehicles and since this is my first toy car, I want it to look the way I want cars to look like..

this is a long journey and I had considered many different vehicles before I ended up with this vehicle. not factory ordered and the only brand new Corvette in the inventory of the small dealership from a small town just outside Edmonton. If it had front lift - then it would have been 99%.. but I’ve read that front lift is not much of an issue for the C8 owners that didn’t have it.

exhaust note and exhaust sound is a big factor for me. I went for a Cayenne GTS instead of a Cayenne Turbo because it sounded better. I also felt Turbo was going too fast too fast.. owned the vehicle for 15 yrs now and still loving it. The only mods I did with it were secondary cat delete and Techart lowering module. my wife’s 2021 G63 has remained stock, but also has good exhaust sound..

I almost pulled the trigger on a Ferrari 812GTS, but the cost of maintaining a Ferrari scared me a bit..

I am leaning towards Concept 841 because they sell a headers/exhaust package, but is concerned that their exhaust has 2 large 4” exits instead of the usual 4 three inch in Z06.. they said it’s similar to the GT3 racecar.. it might attract cops’ attention.. although it is valved and the manufacturer said can be tame in stealth mode… but can sound like a Ferrari/Lambo at full throttle

any reco will be appreciated.

I wondered who bought the black HTC Z06 at South Fort Chev, haha. Good choice, it was on for a great price and looks very nice. I picked up the red Z06 from Northgate GM. Let us know how satisfied you are with that dealer's work. I dropped in there to see if they would do a few things for me. They told me that the front brake cooling ducts are not installed as part of dealer PDI and it was up to me to install them. They also snarkily said that if I read my owner's manual i'd already know that. Anyhow, not sure ill be back after that.

Interesting. I ordered my Stingray through them and didn't have any issues but have yet to go to their service department. Getting the 12k tx service done in May so will see how that goes. When I called about an appointment they said they would give me a loaner till they are done so thats a good sign I guess.

Hold on here a second, let me get this straight. You're telling us you bought your car at dealer A but then went to dealer B to get some PDI work done to it and now you're sort of butt hurt that dealer B isn't accommodating you. Is that the way this went down?

Good point. But a dealership makes the same money servicing or doing warranty work regardless of where the vehicle was purchased don't they ?

Doesn't matter where you bought it or get it serviced. I bought minre 2 hours away, but get it serviced locally. GM doesn't care.

I understand that. But it sounded like the selling dealer didn't do what the buyer thought was a normal PDI item, and then went to a different dealer for the item to be installed.

Is PDI not the responsibility of the selling dealership?

Those air ducts are ONLY to be installed when racing. It is NOT part of the PDI. The dealership should be a lot more professional and polite though .
