"Administered by sensible people???"

Uhmmmmmm..... I was following Riley at Ponoka.......

Sensible did not come to mind.....

Must be those stripes on his fender.

Welcome to the forum CorvetteGuyCanada. Thanks for your information on your experience. It wasn't a good experience and we have all had these. Now that you have voiced your opinion and heard a varied assortment of replies give us some background of when you bought your car, why you bought it and what you plan to do with it.

Talking about how much we enjoy our cars and the people we meet will hopefully push this into the background and refocus on again enjoying your ride!

Take care.

Thanks,

The truck is just a winter school bus, the vette is my 4th one, a 2009 C6. I found it through a long term buddy of mine from the Performance boat club who is in a Corvette club in Pickering.
I don't plan to track it (but I would, I've tracked other cars in the past)

4th vette, what were the others? Which ones did you track or was it other than the corvettes you have driven? Where have you raced? I know, I know so many questions! Hey it's a long winter and thus is a great way to pass the time!

1985 C4, 1988 C4, 2000 C5. the 88 and 2000 were great cars!! The 85 was bone stock (still a good car thou)

Tracked Porsche 911 Turbo & 928 Mosport & Nuremberg ring in a 911 Turbo (that was AMAZING!!)

So far I have only heard one side of the story so unless I am missing something, I would really like to hear from the other side. Then, and only then can I form an opinion based upon facts! Just my 2 cents FWIW.

I'm still waiting for the other side of the story...

I think he won't post his side because what I'm saying is fact, there is no other side of the story.

CGC- Have you tried Dennis OSullivan of the KW-Record, Wheels Section or the reporter from the Toronto Star Wheels Section, both of whom have a weekly Q&A for such issues as you have?

The Star's reporter's name escapes me at the moment but I can retrieve it from tomorrow's paper.

KW Record's reporter Dennis O. Sullivan's email is: [email protected]

Good luck,
Colin.

What really bothers me is when the almighty dollar gets in the way of running a site properly. Having said that, I am not speaking of this site whatsoever and am speaking of Corvette Forums. I run several sites and have been through what I am seeing and at the end of the day, regardless of whether there is a marketing agreement between the site and business, the website has to still stay an impartial resource to its members.

The fact that one cannot supply a link to a seller where he got a good deal because they are not a supporting vendor is wrong. The fact that one cannot offer an honest opinion of a supporting vendor is wrong. The fact that the supporting vendor can do as they please in promoting their goods is wrong. Come to think of it, some of it may apply to this site and I apologize if it does, but an agreement between a supporting vendor and a website is just that, between them two resources. There should be no reason whatsoever that members should feel restricted in their recommendations, links or opinions.

Imagine if Kerbecks went to the other Forum and said we are going to pay you 50k but want our site exclusively on your site. That website just went from being a great impartial resource to a Kerbecks (used for example only) business website. Think of all people who go there lose from not learning about other good vendors.

Just my 2 cents sorry if a bit is close to home...

The Corvette Forum is a joke with moderators clearly playing favorites. Dasilva is a paid member/vendor and even then I was banned. For disputing some BS claims Champion Motors feel the need to post.

Now the Canadian section is a complete joke with Champion running that section. Many have complained about there posts gone missing. It's a posse of Champion idiots bumping up there own posts-and some of the more recent posts are just downright stupid-somebody is really hurting for business.

Right on Keith -- Arun's reference to the "Corvette Forum" is the infamous US site ...... A completely different animal to our "Canadian Corvette Forum".

.....and the "Canadian Section" Arun refers to is the Canadian section of the US site.

Thanks for clarifying. We would never want to be confused with any other site.

C.

When we first got our car in 2012, I found that site but didn't hang around it for long and seldom check it out to this day. Too much attitude. Not enough just having fun. Through this web site, I have met some great people and have gone on runs with some. West of Toronto seems to be the same as out west. It's a great way to connect. If I ever take a trip to the west coast, I have a list of people that I would like to meet in person. Thanks Riley for a great site.

There really are some great folks here and I'm betting we're the envy of many other forums including the other one in question.

Yes there are great folk out west too and I'm proud to say I've had the privilege of meeting some of them and hope to meet more on my next trip.

Riley -- you are the main man and we're all glad you helped start this site some 6 years ago.

Cheers
Colin.

I was given a warning that day that Arun was banned on the other forum. I think these events are linked. Told the moderator I would not be back and logged off.

Enough was enough for me.

aretha franklin summed it up R-E-S-P-E-C-T or in this case.......lack of. if other peoples opinions and points of view aren't respected a forum just degenerates into a free for all donnybrook.

:agree:

I never saw a single negative post about Champion, now I know why! They just take them down....:nono:

Went to the car show yesterday, they had 3 vette's there, two you could open up and sit in, and a Yellow Z06.

I'm not a huge fan of the C7 (rear end just looks odd to me)

But the yellow Z06 with those extra(2"??) flared fenders, awesome!! (pictures do not do justice)
