Looks like the last thread on this is a few years old so I figured I would start a new one. Also, I am new to this forum so please use kids gloves if I am already messing up...

Getting to the point, here is the situation: I am looking to get into Corvette ownership and a C8 Z06 is my dream car. When I was in school it was a C6 Z06 but I can't say no to that flat-plane V8. I have been spending some time looking at vehicles on autotrader and cargurus and seems like there is quite the spread out there. I also noticed a few deals on new 2025 Z06s which have been sitting on lots for a long time with some discounts on them already, but I am unsure on how much lower the market will go.

Guess the questions I have are: What are people's feelings on the market? When the spring comes around are we going to see things stall out and there will be more discounts? With the new Grand Spot etc coming out what do you think that will do to the Z06 market? I saw one person post that they lost $55K on their Z06 already which seems kind steep for one year of ownership.

Again, this is a dream car and I already have a few vehicles and I'll probably be putting less than 5000km a year on it, so I'm in no rush. Also, with the interest rates right now I'm looking to finance the vehicle because my investments are still doing north of 6%.

Welcome to the Forum Bad. Tell me what you intend to do with the car? Do you track? How long will you keep the car?
Sounds like the flat plane is why you want it. Have you decided if you want a coupe or convertible, 1, 2 or 3 LZ and options you want?
What do you think about the 0% finance offer? When the car came out dealers in the US were asking up to $100K over sticker.
Up here GM put a 20K price increase on them in 2024. People have lost money on them because of the tax situation up here as well.
The Grand Sport is a different car as is the X but that a completely different conversation.

Thank you for the welcome! To answer some questions:

-Intend to drive the car on nice days during the spring to early fall. Maybe a road trip or two. I had the same idea when I got my SL55 and found I was putting on less than 4000km a year on it. Limited track use for the vette

-Would like a coupe and a 1LZ should be fine by me. What I am really looking for is the cheapest Black C8 Z06 I can buy.

-0% finance offer is attractive and I was at a dealership last week where they showed me that offer on a 2026 Z06. I wasn't in a rush to buy and the price they offered me (~170) was still a bit too much for me. I was pretty confident there would be a better deal out there and I could tell they were anxious to show things to me.

The 0% offer was on the 2025's, it's 2.9% on the 2026's and 3.99% up to 84 months.
What area are you from and what budget were you trying to keep around?
I'm in Southern Ontario and I would be very happy to get something under $150K. I'm not opposed to a used one as well but I'm seeing the money so close together and with the financing deals it makes it more attractive to find a new one.

Also, I think you are right and I am remembering wrong. The 2.99% and 3.99% rates sound familiar and I'm probably conflating things.

The 0% isn't available on used ones. Are you in the GTA?

The 2025 Z06 coupe with 1 LZ comes with a base price of $155,499. Freight, luxury tax and fees takes it up another 11.5K which is taken care of by discounts now. The 0% offer will take you beyond your 150 k budget as HST is on top of that. You got some wiggle room? Do you want me to find one for you? If so perhaps you can DM me your contact information.

Fellow 1LZ here, if you can stomach the price i highly recommend the aero pkg for satisfaction of the look every time you walk up and look back while walking away.
Also don't think twice about pdr as well as the transluscent roof (or at least dual roofs). Both are absolute musts if going cheaper on trim.

Add sliplo to your front splitter and approach speed bumps at an angle religiously and plan on getting some paragon wide angle mirrors and you will be good. No front lift necessary.

If the silver and chrome on the interior bother you it will cost only about 1500 cdn in cf overlays and cf paddles to tastefully fix this.

Also highly highly recommend comp seats. On 1LZ with textile inserts they are quite resilient and fitting/comfy for even a stocky build type of person. Can't get gt2 seats on 1LZ i don't think so comp seats is the way!

Given your street application you should likely ignore z07. The cup 2r's don't last anyways.

All great suggestions, I will wait to see if he's willing to add 10K to the budget to cover them?

Your completely correct, my 2024 msrp for my 2025 was 155k and then had 25k in my options. Then lux tax, then gst (alberta so no pst) then did 12.5mil llamar full wrap after out the door on a trailer for the ppf and some other goodies before first miles.

Definitely adds up as i was 208k out the door before the ppf started but i know i couldn't live with op's choice of color without the wing and comp seats and pdr for full batmobile and ability to record my canyon runs.
If trying to save just go straight to transluscent roof and forget the body colored cause transluscent roof looks close to black anyways.
