Hi everyone,

I'm interested in the history of the Corvette C3 and have been trying to find out how the Canadian-export models differed from the U.S. versions. From what I’ve gathered, RPO Z49 appears to include a speedometer with kilometers per hour as the primary scale. I found an image showing this in Richard Prince’s Corvette Restoration Guide, but I haven’t been able to confirm whether there were any other differences included with RPO Z49.

Welcome to the forum Jasse. I would suggest you put your post in the General Corvette Discussion section as it may get more traffic there.

I was going through the NCRS Judge’s Guide and picked up a couple more details. So, the Canadian-export C3s got a round blue “Canada NSVAC Transport” sticker, plus a white one that reads “General Motors of Canada Limited.” There’s also an oil change interval label sitting just below the emissions label. Maybe there are no other differences?

Very large number of links here if you haven’t checked it out already.

Yes, I’ve looked into it, but there’s not much information available, just a few scattered details. Hopefully, someone here owns a Canadian-export Corvette and can offer more insight.
Have you considered or tried contacting GM themselves ? They keep records of all the vehicles they have produced going back decades. Might be worth a shot.
