Implemented Can we add NWT etc. to provinces?

True, just before the last ball fell we were the odds favourite, but as luck would have it Edmonton got its 4th 1st overall pick in 5 years! :mad:
We groomed Hyman to fit in your team, then the traitor wanted to look better so playing with McDavid made him look much better.
Seriously though, playing with arguably the 2 of the very best players in the world can make anyone look good. You got two greats there with McD and Draisaitl.

Totally agree. Playing with the best also brings out the best but Hyman could have shined playing with Matthews if the coaching decisions had been right. And definitely luck Edm acquiring McDavid. The odds of Edm winning that lottery were small (11.5%) but TO's were even smaller at 9.5%.
Acquiring Kane was much like winning a lottery that no other team wanted to play in due to his rebellious record. Eyebrows were even raised in AB over Holland picking him up but that has worked out great if we can keep him healthy. It will be an interesting season this year and we will look to Connor Brown to shine with these guys. Edm didn't do much to shore up their defense though, due mainly to salary cap and signing Brown. We will see if the defensive holes come back to haunt them.

As far as TO and Edm crashing this past playoff, I was really looking forward to a Cdn final. If Matthews earns his $13.25 mil and a few more guys step up to the plate for both teams, we may see it this year.... Here's hoping....

Ya, Connor Brown was very much like Hyman early. Hyman did do a majestic job setting up Matthews. His hard work in the corners helped a lot. Bunting did pretty much the same last year and we are hoping Bertuzzi can do the same.
I think Brown will really help the oilers if he can do what he did for Ottawa. Hoping for at least one Canadian team in the finals this year.
