Help Can I use 12a A/C recharge to 134a ? Manual said do not mix it.

Its not a "Replacement" its an upgrade. They stopped using the R12 some time ago and now use the R134A. I would definitely not mix the two, and as Rruuff and 2K say, get it all out before you put anything back in. Best to confirm with someone that has expierence with A/C or you may be getting into more trouble than you have now.

Just to clear, R12 has been discontinued for many years due to it's CFC environmental downfalls. Was basically sold under the name Freon ( Dichlorodifluoromethane). You can still find it but a 20 pound tank will run you anywhere up to $1100.00. It will soon go the way of the dinosaur anyway. Available and used all over for refrigeration is now either R-12A or R-134 and as I stated, it's recommended to purge either out of your system before using the other to recharge.
