CAGS

I just bought a CAGS thing to install in my C5 and would like to install it myself. Could someone please send me step by instructions on how to do so? I’d appreciate it as none came with it!

I dont have a C5, but I plugged CAGS install in Corvette into youtube and a couple of hits turned up..... good luck.

Not sure whether you have considered getting some Race Ramps but they will be a great addition to your shop. I seem to recall that the cags device plugs into the transmission and it's easy to reach if you have the rear of the car up. If you jack it make sure you use jacking pucks and jack stands before you crawl under it.

Thank you all for the great advise. I just installed it and first to second is so much smoother. The 1st to 4th light still shows on the dash though. Is there anyway to fix that or should I just ignore it?

Carol, I had my 1 to 4 shift taken out in the computer and the light does not show at all any more. Not sure if the add on kits leave the light warning or not. Good for you for getting it done. I know why GM designed the program but man it was annoying and there were times made the car difficult to drive, uphill and forced to go 1 to 4 the motor did not like that at all.
