Cam, I read the fine print.. You pay a $750 *Abuse of Policy Management" penalty...
I just renewed with Northbridge via my insurance broker for $1270 for 2022 C8 HTC. Part of a full package of 2 cars and house. Accident and conviction free for decades. Full, full coverage i.e. accident forgiveness, uninsured motorist, rental car if car damaged etc. $2500 deductible.

I'm calling them tomorrow as they are showing $2m liability and low deductible so I will switch that up.
Just an update with CAA. The Soler throttle controller doesn't qualify for any discount. In addition, a gated and fenced-in yard on all four sides doesn't help either. They are stuck on Ghost 2 and Igla as the only 2 options to remove the $1,500 surcharge. It would seem they are looking to push the most expensive option in hopes people end up paying the surcharge. A hidden kill switch would be just as effective.

That's what I did, I put in a switch to disable the start push button via the starter fuse.
I was wondering about disabling the start switch somehow. Where is that fuse?
It's behind the waterfall cover in the fuse box.

Here is an update. CAA not only is slapping a $1500 surcharge if I don't buy one of their immobilizers but I was just informed my premium is now double what is was last year and I have no tickets or accidents!

I live in the country - Huron county, 68 years old. My agent is shopping but has not found any cheaper options. I switched to CAA a few years ago Co-operators tripled my insurance on my old C8 back then.
CAA is the last place I would go for insurance.
I'm thinking this thread has destroyed anyone from requesting quotes from CAA lol...
Out of curiosity I sat down with CAA about 4 years ago. At that time 5 autos, my RV, 2 utility trailers, an ATV, a closed in utility trailer, and my farm policy. Claim and ticket free and they quoted me double my existing carrier. Needless to say I stayed where I was.
CAA is getting terrible. They sent me a $2000 surcharge for my wifes Toyota Highlander a few months ago and I called my broker to ask for help. We switched everything to "The Commonwell" and I saved a ton. CAA has gotten so bad that my broker actually ended their business partnership with them effective Apr 30.
Isn't the Highlander popular with the thieving scum of the earth...
