C8 Tire Status stuck on 'Cool'??

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this?? Since taking my 23 out of storage on May 1st, my Tire status has said 'cool'? I don't remember it ever changing in the last month. It's been a cold May, but after driving the car for a bit, I would think the temperature of the tires would eventually get up to 'Normal', but I'm thinking its stuck on 'Cool' for whatever reason??

Understand that, but when the tire pressure rises after driving for a bit, that's an indication the temp of the tire is rising, but it remains on cool....I've had the car for 2 years, never seen this before....Starting to think a faulty sensor..

I have noticed that at around 7 or 8 C that I can drive go sometimes 30 k before the temp gets to normal. And that’s with the pressure having risen to about the same pressure you saw yesterday. I have the factory all season tires.

Bringing the tires on a C8 Corvette up to normal operating temperature typically requires driving the car aggressively for a few laps or miles, rather than just cruising. This is because tire temperature rises significantly with load from hard acceleration, braking, and cornering, which generates heat in the tire air and tread.
• On track or spirited driving, tire temps can reach 160°F or higher after several laps, with tire pressures rising from around 30-32 psi cold to 36-40 psi hot.

• The “Warm Tire” indicator on the C8 typically triggers when tire temperatures reach about 154°F, corresponding to pressures around 36-37 psi, often after aggressive driving.
In summary, to bring C8 Corvette tires to normal operating temperature, expect to drive aggressively for several minutes or laps on a track or spirited road to generate sufficient heat. On normal street driving, it may take 15-20 miles or more of mixed driving with some braking and acceleration to reach normal tire temps. The exact time depends on ambient temperature, driving style, and road conditions.
This approach ensures tires reach their optimal temperature for grip and performance without overinflating pressures or triggering warnings.

Half a day of running errands in the spring & fall my temperature never gets out of the cool range. However, if I take it on some twisties and give the car a workout it will come up to normal after about 30 minutes of constant spirited driving. Just a few minutes will not do it and on and off spirited driving does not seem to do it on days when outside temps are below 15 of so.

I've noticed that when it's around 7–8°C outside, my C8's tires can stay in the "Cool" range for a long time. Sometimes I can drive 30 km before they finally show "Normal," even though the tire pressures have already risen to about the same hot pressures I was seeing yesterday. I'm running the factory all-season tires.


Is that normal? Does the C8's tire temperature display depend more on tread temperature than pressure? How long does it usually take your tires to reach "Normal" in cooler weather with regular street driving?
