Anyone else with a C8 HTC, get a SmartTop switch, from Modes4cars?
Just bought one and cannot wait to install.:Hurray:

I was recently taking to the owner Sven about listing them on DynamicCaps, or doing a Group buy, or both ....

But with the tariff situation, and the exchange rate, they got really expensive, really quickly.

Drop me a DM< love to know what you paid all in delivered (if you dont mind sharing)

It is on my list of things to add for sure.

548.00 American including delivery and taxes. The seller in Montreal was asking 810.00$ plus taxes delivered but would not take my credit card over the phone and he is in traffic hell in Montreal! CONSTRUCTION.
 
I've had one on my 2021 for several years. In fact, I believe I have the second retail one sold. I worked with the software developer to do some debugging and feature updates, and wrote some of the installation instructions and took some of the photos on their site. It's a great product, and they have great support. Late this winter started noticing some odd behavior intermittently. Sent them the unit, their dev couldn't find anything wrong but he put a new circuit board in my case and sent it back, and everything works perfectly now. No charge. I wrote a detailed review and install instructions on MECF:

Well, the mods removed my link "for legal reasons." That's hogwash. There's no law in Canada or the US preventing links to other websites.

Anyway, if you want to learn all about it, go to mid engine corvette forum and do an advanced search for SmartTop in the title and my user name as the thread starter.

Absolutely one of my two favorite mods. The other is the Soler throttle controller.

If you read the links I posted above, you'll learn all there is to know about the SmartTop.


And if you want to find my article on the Soler, just go to MECF and do an advanced for Soler in the title and my username and the thread starter.

Smarttop makes everything one touch in the car like the windows and you can use your remote to open and close the top etc.

If I would of known, I would of waited to buy mine. I still don't have it, because I bought it in the USA , and for some stupid reason it is stuck in Compton California!!! The shipping company GlobalPost has it or lost it. I have asked for a refund but nothing is going on. I did use PayPal, so they are my best hope. I have been waiting over 2 weeks for a delivery date. If I get my refund I will buy from you.

At this rate I will not get it at all. These stores should be paid when the package has been delivered, not when it is shipped. 19 days and counting.

I temporarily paused it until mine gets here friday. I want to ensure there are no surprises with UPS like Brokerage Fees, taxes, etc, etc .... so that when I put the price up, it is the final price.

Just checking all the corners. Should be listed by Monday next week firmly.
 
And ..... there is my answer. (Literally just came in email)

I HATE UPS ... just gotta say. Always shocks me what they charge for fees, etc ...
