My 2021 Corvette C8’s entertainment system doesn't support WMA music files although WMA was supported by my 2014 C7. With hundreds of tracks on my USB drive that is a seriously annoying nuisance. I've just spent more than an hour finding, downloading and using a converter to create MP3 files and find that the album info created when I first ripped the CD's is missing. With hundreds of CD's on my computer, separating MP3 from WMA files and then finding the original CD's to rip them again in MP3 format is a terrible prospect. Hopefully GM will correct this with a software update.

I can sympathies but there are converters that will maintain that info. Don't ask me which ones because it's been years, but there are also services that will add that info given the correct titles.
wma are lossless files and are big. Nobody uses them any more ... except you of course
J/K But that is likely why. Not much call for support of WMA
BTW, MP3TAG is what I used. It will convert your files and should save your data as well. I believe it bulk transfers.
