C6 Roof Options

Hi,
I'm looking at possibly buying a 2010 Corvette coupe. It's perfect except it only has a transparent targa roof, no painted roof. I thought that all coupes came with a painted targa roof and you could order a transparent roof as an option. Looking at my trusty Mike Antonick Corvette Black Book, there is C2L Dual Removable Roof Panels (coupe) and CC3 Removable Roof Panel, Transparent (coupe).

Is it possible that you could order option CC3 and get a 2010 Corvette with just a transparent roof, no painted roof?

If so, would you recommend buying a painted roof? The car is in pristine condition so I'm hoping it would match.

Welcome to the forum,
Roofs can be painted to an exact match. I ordered a new roof for my 2020 and had it painted to match my torch red car. Matches perfectly. Don't let a roof stop you from buying your desired car.

I bought it from a dealer. Not sure if a dealer can still get them for a 2010, but any roof can be repainted. If you get one from a junkyard or some other source it can be repainted.

Also, you might actually like the glass roof. I had glass roof panels on my Camaro and loved them. If you find it too bright you can always get it tinted.

Its tinted but I've heard that even then it can get warm inside on long drives. I'll probably give it a try and look for a painted one if needed. Thanks for your help.

They are tinted like the rear window. not really a tint. I don't know how to describe it, but you can add film to what's there for more shade.
