Replaced the battery this spring. Went to start it two weeks later, battery dead. Realized the dome lights were on (my bad!) Boosted battery engaged clutch, car didn’t start just click, click, click. Engaged clutch again and car started. Started three times after. Any idea what could be the issue? This is a 1994 six speed standard, convertible.
Thanks for any advice. Save the wave!

It could be your clutch safety switch. Ensure your clutch is fully depressed to activate the switch. The switch can be bypassed to troubleshoot it. Some leave the bypass in place meaning you can start the car without the clutch depressed. This requires special care because if one forgets and starts the car in 1st gear, it will cause it to jump forward.
