There is no confirmation for such a vehicle but if there is.

Well if you look at NVIDIA’s latest AI GPU’s for example there is a better than 45% improvement in performance over the previous generation. A new style of wheel or new paint colour could be considered incremental.

As long as there is a new DOHC V8, I am interested. Brought back memories of the Lotus/Mercury LT5 of the 90s.
If I were looking to buy a C7, it would be the GS.

Man that would be nice but I doubt it from a marketing point of view.
This scenario would eliminate a good portion of Z06 and Eray market.

If it does come to fruition in this generation, doubt it would be more than 540-550hp.

Ya, something doesn't make sense about it all. I still think the GS was the Eray. But there is rumour of a newer engine. So who knows.

The incremental changes are simply not worth the premium to upgrade. For most ….

Change the body/engine completely …. I’m interested (think c7 > c8)

Otherwise , I LOVE my car

600hp would be a pipe dream in the C8 GS. I don't know how much more power they are going to squeeze out of the LT2, maybe 30 hp with a more aggressive cam without investing too much $ from the GM point of view and keeping cost in check. Aftermarket can do a ported heads and cam for 600 chp but she idle like a big block.
I don't know if they would put the new LT3 in a C8 if they are going to use it in the C9 base model. Doesn't make sense. With the huge gap in price between each variants, it may not make sense to upgrade for another C8 platform unless you have a budget for it?

My prediction for a suspected Grand Sport C8 is exactly the same as they did for the C7 GS. Same engine as the SR in a wide body with upgrade in suspension and some pretty bells and whistles inside and out.
