I'm getting treated for a blood clot infection at the moment. It's called Thrombophlebitis. That's harder to say than worcestershire
Ya . Next to impossible , lol. I hope they get a handle on it for you quickly. Sounds a bit scary….I'm getting treated for a blood clot infection at the moment. It's called Thrombophlebitis. That's harder to say than worcestershire

they prescribed 10 days of antibiotics. Said it was the infection in the clot that was the problem. The clot is in a varicose vein in my leg and they said it wont move to my brain even it could find it.Throm - bo - fle - bite - this
Easy!
Blood thinners?
Hope you get it fixed before you learn how to pronounce it.
How did the clot become evident to begin with. Not prying now that you brought it up but may be good information for others who may not be aware . My mother in-law had veins in her lower leg that would occasionally just pop and start to bleed. But the doctors said not to worry too much about it. Would definitely be startling the first time it happened.they prescribed 10 days of antibiotics. Said it was the infection in the clot that was the problem. I've had varicose veins in the same area on both legs for 30 years. My mom had them as well they say they are hereditary. They have also been quite prominent but have never bothered me at all. I noticed Friday afternoon that the ones on my right leg were slightly sore to the touch and by Saturday they were quite sore when pressed on. I had a couple hours of skid steer work to do around the farm in the afternoon and by Sunday morning an area a little bigger than a toonie was quite hard and more sore to the touch and a dull ache. By Sunday night that area turned quite red. By Monday morning the area was a share of reddish purple and ached. I wrapped it with horse leg wrap that I had on hand and called my Doc for an appointment. Got in Tuesday noon, showed it to him and he knew right away what it was. He said there was no fear of the clot moving due to all the valves in our veins and gave me a prescription for 10 days of antibiotics to clear up the infection and sent me on my way. It's still painful to touch but the reddish purple has subsided some by today and looks more like a bruise. Hurts some when I put weight on that leg first thing in the mornings or after sitting for a while but seems to loosen up as I get walking around. Biggest drawback is not being allowed to drink a cold beer in this 32 degree weather while I'm on the drugs....lol....How did the clot become evident to begin with. Good to hear it’s not too serious. Not being able to have a cold beer on the other hand……I've had varicose veins in the same area on both legs for 30 years.
