Hello Everyone,
First post in this Forum so pardon me if this has already been discussed (Tried searching but could not find anything)

Is there a place in or around Ottawa, Ontario that has a C8 for rent and is not charging north of 600 bucks a day?

There are so many options around Toronto and Montreal that offer it for mid 200 a day but nothing in Ottawa.

I have been researching the market for a used c8 2lt for a good deal but would love to spend a day with it to get the feel of the car.
Dealers here are high and mighty when it comes to test drives.

Have never owned a vette (coming from 3 Mustangs, an F150 and currently driving a Bronco), but I love the new styling and the overall package.
Would appreciate any feedback!

Welcome!
I can't help very much. Have you asked the rental companies if they know anyone in Ottawa that has decent prices? They should know their competition.
Secondly see if you can find someone in your area with one to take you out for a spin
Thirdly try a dealer and see if they'll take you out for a test drive.
If you were here, I'd let you drive mine.

Reason I am looking for rent is to have more than 15-20 mins in the car if I was to go to a dealer.
I just feel I would be too excited to "test drive" it to really judge the livability.

But if dealer test drive is my only option, I would take it.

If you’re looking to rent a C8 Corvette in or near Ottawa, several specialized exotic and luxury car rental services can fulfill this desire, each offering unique advantages depending on your preferences for convenience, vehicle condition, and rental experience.
1. Kodisos Luxury Rentals (Ottawa)
Kodisos stands out as a top choice for renting a C8 Corvette directly in Ottawa. They specifically list the 2025 Rapid Blue Corvette C8 in their fleet, ensuring you get the latest model with a pristine, well-maintained vehicle. Kodisos offers a highly personalized rental experience with owner involvement, 24/7 roadside assistance, and flexible pick-up/drop-off options. The advantage here is the direct local availability and attentive service, making it convenient and reliable. The downside might be a premium price reflecting the exclusivity and quality of the car and service, but it’s well worth it for enthusiasts wanting a hassle-free luxury experience.
2. Enterprise Exotic Car Collection (Ottawa)
Enterprise’s Exotic Car Collection at their Ottawa locations is another excellent option. They offer Corvettes as part of their exotic fleet, backed by a large, reputable rental company with extensive insurance and support infrastructure. This option is ideal if you prefer a mainstream rental agency with standardized policies and widespread recognition. However, availability of the exact C8 model may vary, and the rental process might be less personalized compared to boutique agencies.
3. Loue la Vie Exotic Car Rentals (Gatineau, near Ottawa)
Located just across the river in Gatineau, Loue la Vie specializes in exotic car rentals and has a solid reputation for clean, well-maintained vehicles and a smooth rental experience. This proximity to Ottawa makes it a convenient alternative if you want a luxury car rental with a boutique feel. While they may not specifically list the C8 Corvette, their exotic fleet often includes similar high-performance vehicles, so it’s worth inquiring.
4. Turo Peer-to-Peer Rentals (Ottawa)
For a more flexible and possibly more affordable option, Turo offers peer-to-peer rentals where private owners list their vehicles, including a 2024 Chevrolet Corvette in Ottawa. This can provide a unique, personalized experience and sometimes more competitive pricing. The trade-off is less predictability in terms of vehicle condition and rental policies compared to professional agencies.

Thank you for this!
I have come across all these options and I think Kudisos might be the way to go even though their prices are on the premium side.
I see that they have two C8s available.

I appreciate the feedback :)

Way over priced for a Z06 imo. :)

*Update
I was finally able to get my hands on a C8 for a full 24 hours. Unfortunately, only a 1LT was available.
Here is my take as someone who has never driven a Corvette before.
My only point of reference is a Mustang which is not even the same class but has a v8 and is rear wheel drive.

1. The design stands out the most. I am used to a few guys coming up to me at gas stations or parking lots to talk about the Mustang but this was another level. People while driving on the road were trying to have a conversation, throwing compliments, kids asking me to rev it etc. I used to feel like people would be up my tail in the Mustang cause maybe they had a point to prove but its dialed up in the Corvette. Even mini-vans for crying out loud 😁
This one definitely gets the attention.

2. The comfort level is great for a 2 door coupe. In the first 5 minutes for getting in the car, my GF and I were both surprised at how easy it felt to drive it. For a base car, the seats were comfortable and it never felt like a 'base' interior. Driving in Touring felt like I was driving a sedan. Really smooth and quiet and no body roll. My only gripe was that the cylinder de-activation really numbs the car. Probably for better gas mileage but safe to say that I drove in Z mode pretty much the rest of the day.
For a guy who is over 6 ft and 200 lbs+, it does make a bit awkward to get in and out but once you are in there are no complaints.
The car did not have front lift but I did not scrape the front a single time and I drove pretty much all over the town.
Did not have the magnetic suspension and didn't feel the need either.
I am sure it would be great to have for tracking the car, but normal city driving, the base suspension is good.
Wind buffering is also amazing with the Targa top down or the window rolled down. I can only imagine how much better the convertibles are.

3. The only thing I would change (and this probably is due to the car I had) is the exhaust.
The cold start was decent but very little engine noise and no drama on downshifts. I was hoping for a bit more burble. I wish I had one with the NPP exhaust.
The outside visibility was something that I was concerned about because my car did not have the rear view camera and it honestly took me 10 minutes to get used to the normal rear view mirror and side mirrors. The blind spots issue is blown out of proportion.

Last note/Wishlist- Really impressed with the car and it definitely deserves all the hype but I do agree with the sentiment that a manual in this would take the experience to the next level. The automatic makes this a bit too easy. Maybe I should test drive the C7 with a manual.

Glad you enjoyed it. If you try one with the Z-51 package in track mode and manually shift you will find that it is a different animal all together. Even the performance exhaust sound is relatively tame but of course somewhat throatier than the stock one. If you want the big growl you have to go aftermarket which probably starts around 5 grand. The 2LT is a worthy upgrade. Although all trim levels now have the rear view camera mirror.

Standard features across all C8 Corvette trims (1LT, 2LT, 3LT for Stingray; 1LZ, 2LZ, 3LZ for Z06 and E-Ray) generally include the same core mechanical components and some essential comforts. Key common features include:
• All trims share the same engine within each model line: 6.2L V8 LT2 for Stingray; 5.5L V8 LT6 for Z06; hybrid powertrain for E-Ray; twin-turbo 5.5L V8 LT7 for ZR1.
• Available as coupe and convertible body styles across trims.
• Standard safety features like automated emergency braking with pedestrian/cyclist detection and lane-keeping assist.
• Manual folding side mirrors and HD rear vision camera.
• Bose premium 10-speaker sound system on base trims; upgraded Bose 14-speaker system in higher trims.
• 8-way power GT1 seats with Mulan leather are standard on 1LT.
• Removable body-color roof panel.
• Rear Cross Traffic Alert available.
• Performance Data Recorder is included as standard.
• Heated and ventilated seats with power lumbar and wing adjust in higher trim levels.
• Interior luxury and customization options increase with higher trims, including more advanced seat options and upgraded materials.
Mechanically and performance-wise, trims within each C8 line share the same drivetrain and platform; differences focus on comfort, technology, and interior luxury.

Ya, your experience is pretty much what everyone comes to. Like 1st suggests, shifting it manually can add a little more fun to the driving experience. I just modulate the go pedal for my fun. The GT1 and GT2 seats are virtually identical in construction with the GT2 seats being the better looking version. The NPP exhaust won't give you any "burble" either. If you want that you need to go aftermarket. If you don't want the option of open and closing the exhaust go with stock exhaust and buy aftermarket later. If you want both then get NPP so you have the electronics and sell it later.
