Without AC, which was not available in 54 vettes, it wouldn't take much to overheat the interior. Other than that it does look neat and shows the technology was available to mould complex shapes.

Or a helmet......went for less than I would have guessed. Although that was 2012 so probably gone up like everything else. One nice thing about it is that it was removable. It was a $500.00 option which in 1954 wasn't chump change.
