Like any big block, it doesn't rev like the small blocks... In my racing days we always built small blocks for the higher revs.
Agreed ... but I gotta say there is nothing like that low grumble when your on the highway behind a bb 427 or 396
Some big blocks these days will wind up pretty good. 7400 rpm for this mill . And 875 HP .
Times and engines have changed dramatically from my muscle car years. To squeeze 400 hp out of a small block cost a lot of money back then. Now we are seeing 600 plus factory autos and with 5 year warranties... Who'd a thunk it back then.
