Anyone tested a faraday bag?

I also got the same ones plus the box off of Amazon. The throttle controller I also have off over the winter or when parking outside overnight.
I too have bought the faraday box that I use to store my keys for all my cars. Also have the throttle controller that I installed earlier this summer. Now, I have since parked the toy for the winter with the throttle controller disabling the accelerator thus preventing theft 🤞🏽

Is this the Soler Throttle Controller? Amazon?
The faraday box we got off of Amazon along with the key pouches. The throttle controller comes from Solar Performance which allows us to lock the throttle pedal over the winter when the cars are away.

Will do . I appreciate the offer. Very cool device at a very reasonable price considering what it delivers.
Bang for the buck it's the most reasonable mod you can add to your car that makes a big difference in how the car feels when you drive it.

Hope it's not too late. I have a successful experience with the reinforced Faraday bag. Maybe you used a RFID bag rather than a Faraday bag, as they cover different frequency range. Therefore these two types of signal blocking bags provide different protection.

Best thing to do is use a Faraday bag for all applications.

The funny thing is, anything that opens isn't 100% effective. Any kind of gap or crack can allow leakage. I choose not to worry about it and do the best I can.

Also don't forget that the C8 fob stops transmitting after it has been still for a short period unlike some . The Faraday bag I got from Amazon has a top flap that is also mesh lined so there shouldn't be any leakage. I think at the end of the day your odds of having your fobs frequency cloned are about as good as Trump endorsing Biden as the 2028 GOP candidate , lol.

I think you'll find there are still spots that aren't sealed completely. Doesn't make the bag useless, just a little less effective than it could be. Wrapping stuff in heavy tin foil can be effective as long as there aren't any cracks or seems.

One way to tell if the one you are using works is to put the fob in the bag , close it , stand beside your car and push the button through the bag . If the car doesn't start.......... or.......

LOL, that'll do it. ;)

Ya, but a thief might have a more sensitive tool. Anyway, there is a guy on reddit that tests them for business reasons. He said they only reduce by a certain amount. 45 db or something. I forget.

I think in general the fear is way overblown. After a couple of news reports showing security cameras recording potential theives with signal amplifiers outside a couple of residences it kind of went viral. When you go in your house just put the fob in a cookie can or similar and your good. If the thieves force entry and are armed there's not much most people could do , but the odds of that ? Slim I would guess.
