Anyone tested a faraday bag?

I have a farada bag and when the fob is in there I cannot open the door so works great for me. In the past I use to hang my keys up on a hook I now put them in a Farada box when I come home
Which one? Amazon?

Make sure you put the fob inside between the tinfoil hat layers.
Sometimes the ones the dancing cat recommended will collapse one side against the other, so you're not really putting the fob inside the RFID blocking layers.
I have them, and they work fine, but you have to get the fob between the RFID blocking stuff, or you're only "half" blocking.

Ya, my wife is in the habit of putting it in the bag every time she gets out of the car, but with habits they can become common place and mistakes can happen. We thought maybe that happened which led me to test ours. The material is so thin that it got worn out I guess. They are cheap enough it's no worry to replace them.

I wouldn't worry too much with only 6 C8's being stolen in total for 23/24 . But I do still use mine.

Seems the ones I have don't work. Looking for ones that have been tested with a C8 key fob
I also use the ones from Amazon. And yes they work. We have a box for the spares and use the fob bags for the regular use keys. I have tried to enter our vehicles (Lincoln, F150 and C7) and even sat inside them with the closed bag..... nothing. Open the bag and Shazam! We're off and running. Buy 'em try 'em and send them back, if you aren't happy!
Good luck!

I still haven't bought one, even though I keep saying I am going to. Went to Bayfield Vette Fest and was nervous with having the car parked just outside the room. Was good that you were close to it, but I could have the keys inside the room and could still unlock the car when I went outside. Placed the fob in the microwave and all was good. Just had to make sure the wife removed them in the morning before she heated her coffee. 🤣

One nice thing about the C8 fobs is that they stop transmitting a signal after 30 seconds or so if undisturbed unlike most . So thieves can't capture and clone them with an antenna and amplifier.

Good point. I keep my registration and insurance card in the separate slot at the front in the little plastic folder you sometimes get from the insurance company which is convenient and prevents putting the fob in there.

I also got the same ones plus the box off of Amazon. The throttle controller I also have off over the winter or when parking outside overnight.
When you say the throttle controller do you mean the small usb screen portion ? Will that prevent the vehicle from starting. I have one but have yet to install it or read the manual.....

I bring the controller from my center console inside for the winter and set my app settings for the throttle to lock once the car goes into storage.

Interesting. I just looked it up and apparently the settings are stored in the ECM once programmed or set with the control module which is a great feature. This would seem to make removing it every time not a bad habit to get into. Although if you set an access code using the app I suppose that might not be necessary.
I will be installing mine first thing in the spring. It would appear that the only vulnerability would be if a thief recognized the unit and unplugged it and reconnected the pedal back to its original state . Question is would the vehicle still not start because the setting is still stored in the ECM ? It would seem so.

Wait until you install yours. Reconnecting the gas pedal the original way involves removing the gas pedal and reconnecting the connector the way it is now. That takes time which thieves don't have or the right tools. The control head if left in the car, will not unlock the throttle if it is in the lock position on the app. The vehicle will start with the pedal locked, but when you go to hit the gas pedal the car barely moves until it is unlocked.
All of this you will see for yourself once you install yours.

Thanks, looking forward to it.
