I think there are a lot of factors involved. So is the general consensus amongst C8 owners that the car is pretty well constructed, and extending the bumper to bumper
coverage to 5 years/60 k from the 3/60 is probably not needed? My dealer quoted me the same that I paid to do that with my truck,
$2000, after trying to get more, of course. What do you guys think...do it or pass?

How is that relevant, lol? I'm semi-retired, and work from home, so I don't put a lot of mileage on my vehicles anymore, so the 60,000 km.How old are you...
I think you should develop a spreadsheet for this thread. Years of suggested warranty coverage could be based on Age; Current Health Condition; Previous Health Issues; Projected mileage per Year; How often do you eat at McDonalds; etc. etc. etc. A factor for each answer producing a final score representing how much warranty is advised. It was 1st in a series of question I was going to ask you to help you figure out your inquiry to the group....

I traded in my 2015 C7 stingray convertible (yes seven speed stick) this past June for C8 Stingray R convertible. So is the general consensus amongst C8 owners that the car is pretty well constructed, and extending the bumper to bumper

Thank you Ben, so you bought an all-inclusive bumper to bumper 7 year warranty for $2200, I imagine it is, as you mentioned electronics are covered?I traded in my 2015 C7 stingray convertible (yes seven speed stick) this past June for C8 Stingray R convertible.
My C7 had 61K on it…. No issues. Bought extended 7 yr warranty for my C8 only to buy time bc it has many more electronics and mechanical gears etc. I will never go over km limit but time is more important to me as it might be my last vet, after owning C6, C7 and now C8. In all three cases never exceeded km limits.
Money well spent to buy time. I paid around $2200 for the extended warranty.
Yes it is bumper to bumper including all electronics. 7 years 60k extended warranty. Just wear and tear not covered as it is in basic warranty.Thank you Ben, so you bought an all-inclusive bumper to bumper 7 year warranty for $2200, I imagine it is, as you mentioned electronics are covered?
This is excellent information, as dealerships play games with the price of extended warranties. May I ask the kilometer limit, is it 60,000? If you took
the 3yr/60,000km factory warranty and extended it to 7yr/60,000km for $2200, that's a good price and would work for me too. I don't see myself
driving the Corvette more than 1500km/month for the six months per year it'll be on the road.
As long as "What are you wearing?" isn't part of this in-depth analysis, right? It was 1st in a series of question I was going to ask you to help you figure out your inquiry to the group....
I'm dealing with Bannister Chev in Penticton, B.C., and if they give me the same great pricing I'll be announcing it here and other social media.Yes it is bumper to bumper including all electronics. 7 years 60k extended warranty. Just wear and tear not covered as it is in basic warranty.
Sorry my error.
Extended warranty was $2487 + tax and I also bought the Essential maintenance package for $2363 + tax.
Don Le at Georgetown Chev ….. great guy gave me employee pricing.
I bought my C8 at another dealer, who I will not name, wanted to charge me $4000 + tax for the extended warranty alone.
Well DW, seeing as the questions were coming from a gent named Jack, I'd VERY VERY much hope he has no interest in what another guy is wearing! As long as "What are you wearing?" isn't part of this in-depth analysis, right?
Like Clint said , do you feel lucky *&@$ ? The Transmission apparently runs about $22,000 not counting re and re . On the other hand many people have been paying for total glass coverage at probably $50 or more a year for the last 20 and have yet to replace a piece. So is the general consensus amongst C8 owners that the car is pretty well constructed, and extending the bumper to bumper

I did all my mods in the first week of ownership from the factory. Why wait 5 years to really enjoy your ride...At least they can now add some mods ……

Makes sense that the extended warranty to 7 years is relatively inexpensive, as you kept the limited milage figure the same. No miles, no wear & tear or opportunity to have even electronics go down.Yes it is bumper to bumper including all electronics. 7 years 60k extended warranty. Just wear and tear not covered as it is in basic warranty.
