Anyone have experience with well water and pressure tanks?

Don't be so sure it will outlast you.
My first one lasted 20 years, the second one 15 years, the third one 3 years, the fourth one
has been in 2 years and bladder is still fine but...... who knows.
40 years in the same house, 50 years same wife, 22 years same Vette! I like things that last!!
LOL! House, Wife, Vette. You got the important things covered! ;)

The one I bought has a replaceable bladder!
That means I don't have to get up in the middle of the night!
Oh wait. Is this my seniors forum?

So princess auto sells Burcam tanks and not well rite. You better order a spare tank soon cuz that burcam will fale soon if not already

My tank is just water with an air cushion above it.
Air compresses, water does not to all our purposes.
So as the water fills the tank the air is compressed until the pressure switch opens. As you demand water where ever in the house the air pressure will force it out causing the pressure switch to close and more water to be pumped back to the holding tank.
Over time the air will slowly mix with the water with the result of a smaller air cushion. As this happens the water pressure will lower much faster as it does not compress with the result that the switch will cycle more frequently.
To counter this you just drain some water from the tank to allow air back in to form the cushion. Had to do this 2 - 3 times a year on my system.
Doubt it would be sufficient to furnish a complete house with showers and all the other stuff.
I just had it for drinking so it was quite all right for my purposes.

My bladder works the same way. Especially at 3am!
