I think it will happen. Next meeting in Canada in October.Good idea if it were to happen?
No contest compared to who followed. Harper may not of been a good snowboarder nor a drama queen but he did have a masters degree in economics. Jesus did we end up short changed.......I always liked Harper. He did a good speech, slipped a sideways lump of $hit on Trudeau and Trump in there, and he has nice hair....lol...
Release the Trump/Epstien-TM files ,lol. And to add insult to injury, the Turd wants Ukraine to stop attack Russian oil so the prices will go down. WTF? Reality to tRUMP! Come in tRUMP!
I'm of a mind to say "Hold the phone, let's see what any potential agreement will end up looking like"I think it will happen. Next meeting in Canada in October.
You are absolutely right about that. Open borders without each prospective immigrant being throughly vetted is a recipe for disaster. As you alluded to , the policy of the 10 years following the Harper Consertives . Simply read the crime pages any day of the week and see who seemingly is responsible for the majority of serious crime. And yes if you go back far enough just about all of us have descended from immigrants except perhaps the First Nations but even them as well if you go way back .I'm of a mind to say "Hold the phone, let's see what any potential agreement will end up looking like"
Having travelled extensively in Europe over the years - on many, many business trips (including, to my joy, many thousands of Km's on Germany's Autobahns driving very nice cars - yahoo!!) I have seen quite a few less-than-desirable aspects of EU membership. Uncontrolled immigration in multiple countries, including Germany and the Netherlands, and even France, Italy and Spain to a degree. Loss of cultural identity, primarily as a result of such immigration policies. Even to increased violence in some of the major cities on the continent, again apparently due to individual "enclaves" being established.
Please don't get me wrong, Immigration doesn't have to be a bad thing - but uncontrolled immigration, or unvetted immigration, allowing less desirable, even criminal potential permanent residents/future citizens in to the country, has many negative effects on the home culture and people. Heck, we've seen that in Canada as well, only recently somewhat moderated following Trudeau's departure. If becoming an "Associate Member" of the EU means adopting all their policies, then I'd be extremely wary to say the least. Some money just isn't worth making if Associate Membership involves that.
My great-great-grandparents were immigrants to Canada in the early 1800's from Germany, homesteading in what was basically the bush in what is now Arnprior, Ontario, my wife's parents immigrated from Poland immediately after WW2. But those times were different in many ways at least up until the 1980's or 1990's, without the supports from Governments of various levels, it was very much a "sink or swim/root, hog or die" type of deal, which tends to sort out the wheat from the chaff. That ain't the way it's been in many parts of Europe for many years.

Why? To tell the public something they already know... He is a pervert, a sex offender, falsified financial records, willful retention of national defense information, conspiracy to obstruct justice, concealing documents in a federal investigation, racketeering, conspiracy to commit forgery..... and 78 more charges. Releasing the files will just go on the list and like everything else will make no difference other than possibly losing a few more votes...Release the Trump/Epstien-TM files ,lol.
All that and more of course. Perhaps you don't watch Jimmy Kimmel. He is ragging Trump every night and his production company actually trade markedWhy? Maybe it's that I'm too innocent, but I'm of the firm belief that anybody (Canadian-born or Immigrant) who has to fashion a life for themselves and their families, works their gluteous maximus off to achieve that, is far less inclined to be a shyte-disturber, and makes more of an attempt to fit in to the society in which they've chosen to live. You are absolutely right about that. Once again you are absolutely correct. It's too bad so many look for the easy immoral path . It's the ones that choose to live in the type of society you describe that take advantage of common decent people that are the problem. Because, the majority of people are decent trusting and caring thank the Gods .Maybe it's that I'm too innocent, but I'm of the firm belief that anybody (Canadian-born or Immigrant) who has to fashion a life for themselves and their families, works their gluteous maximus off to achieve that, is far less inclined to be a shyte-disturber, and makes more of an attempt to fit in to the society in which they've chosen to live.

There seems to be some controversy regarding the wording of some of the questions from what I gather. Haven't actually read many except the one about the binding referendum on separation. I suppose that's the big one regarding National unity. As well as non resident acess to social programs and health care in general I suppose. I will check this out. Thanks.Regarding some immigration items, If no one has read already, here's the 10 questions on Alberta's upcoming referendum we get to vote on in October.
