A Sucker Punch From Your Neighbour/Friend? (US/Canada Trade War)

Absolutely no moral compass of any kind. Can't wait though to see the heads roll across the administration when the GOP lose both houses in the midterms. Trump will lose his s**t and heads will roll . Thing is though that he will replace them with equally distasteful butt sniffers . At one time I was always of the opinion that religion, for a variety of documented reasons, was the biggest problem the world faced . Now I am convinced it's unabashed greed .
More than most likely the dems will take over both houses. However, DJT will be in there crying fowl ball and trying to invalidate the vote any way he can. Maybe even to not certifying the results in January.
Any conniving means to hold on to power even if it is not legal. He doesn't care about legalities.

A real piece of work . And, a real piece of something else . 80 years old , a couple of Big Macs away from leaving this world and his greed still knows no bounds . Truly pathetic. And no, you can't put anything past him . If nothing else it will be interesting to see what transpires in a couple of weeks from now.

The sad reality and expect Canada will one one of his punching bags for loosing the midterm. Expect hostilities from the MAGA zombies.
We are living in a reality horrifying movie script.
We can't loose site of what is going on with the Netanyahu regime as well. No, I don't hate Jews, just hate acts of inhumanity. Two separate things.

Canadians should have with low inflation and low interest rate, with less taxes if possible from all level of goverments.
What is affordability? In this instance, I have to agree with the orange turd with just this, hate to admit it. But if they are expect to have price roll back on our daily needs, that is just a pipe dream.
Opportunity/good paying jobs are what all Canadians should have with low inflation and low interest rate, with less taxes if possible from all level of goverments.

Lol.

Well, the really sad reality is that it (blaming Canada) has already begun, or at least setting up the base for the Blame Game. His P.O.S. Ambassador, Hoekstra, just issued a "Fact Sheet" showing, supposedly, all of the actions Canada has taken to undermine the Republicans/interfere with the U.S. elections upcoming. His "Facts" include (a) Canadian tariffs mostly aimed at U.S. States which lean or are very Republican in outlook, such as Ohio/Iowa/Michigan primarily. Well, that's very true, and it WAS done strategically - but Canada doesn't have the economic powerhouse which would allow Trump-style Blanket Tariffs. (b) Hoekstra also raved on about Duggy Ford's ad campaign last year which featured video of Ronald Reagan's thoughts on how tariffs don't accomplish what the might appear to do on the surface - that was pretty sweet, b.i.t.-zitching about commentary from a personality (Reagan) who is held to be the greatest Republican president of the modern era. I'm no longer much of a Doug Ford fan, but at the time I thought the ad wasn't so bad of an idea.

About five additional items were noted on the, ahem, "Fact Sheet". Wadda joke, and more sad commentary to add to the pile about U.S. politics already accruing.

'Ya know, it's hard to reconcile the America of the present day to what America was in my younger days - a country which for the most part was admired greatly for it's stable domestic politics, relatively honest bunch of politicians, etc., vs the Kleptocracy of the current bunch.

The magities are looking to assign blame so they can say the elections are rigged against them and declare them null and void - unless somehow the republicans come out on top. Don't down play that one. Pretty sure they will try to rig the vote any way they can.
YES! The USA has fallen one hell of a lot since DJT came on the scene

Absolutely. Sad but true . Maybe, just maybe, a changing of the guard down there next full election will perhaps change direction policy wise back towards some semblance of sanity. But I'm not holding my breath . I mean how could it possibly get worse ......

"relatively honest bunch of politicians" I didn't realize you were alive during the George Washington era.... ;)

Rruff, you and I both know that "honest" and "honesty" are relative terms. I class "honest" as a descriptor when it is apparent, or seems to be apparent, that the person being described doesn't steal or doesn't abuse someone who is weaker "beause he/she can get away with that kind of behaviour", and tends not to lie their head off especially when it is readily apparent that facts favour the opposite of what he/she/they said.

Every person with an IQ equating to room temperature or higher (let's use Fahrenheit as the measure just to be kind) knows that virtually all people fib from time to time, even little white lies. Politicians especially. That doesn't detract from basic honesty as outlined above. But with this crew, lying has become endemic to an extreme, and so has blatant theft.

Everything has a degree of applicability.
