2026 Stingray PDR DOES NOT ALWAYS RECORD

My 2026 Stingray's PDR does not record all my drives. Latest example just gave me: "My morning drive" and "My afternoon drive" even though I had made a number of short errands. Anyone has this problem?
Seems to work on my 24 but I don't use it that much really. Can't you have it automatically start recording every time you start the car ?

That is the problem. I have it set to record all the time but it does not. It's a hit and miss. I want to use it as a dash cam but it is not reliable.
Thanks for your help.
Just curious. Is your SD card at least 16 GB , class 10 and formatted exFAT ? If not that can cause issues. Only thing I can think off is to try reformatting the card .

It's a brand new SanDisk 128gb SD card. It has been formatted and when it records its fine. The problem appears to be with the DVR. It does not record. I cannot count on it.
I will be taking it to Dealer under warranty.

I would still test another card as I don't have failures using a top end card like Extreme Plus. That way I could show the dealership that it is happening on more than one card that they will also want to test.

They must be good cards . SanDisk is trading at $1775 this morning, lol.

Thank you all for your suggestions.
I do not think the SD card is the problem because if it was, it just would not record or playback at all when ever it does record my drives. The playback are very good quality.
Below is a picture of my SD card. This is the best Sundisk card you can buy. I do not want to spend another $100 on another SD card when i dont think the card is the problem.

Found this with a quick search. I hope it helps. Seems to be a known issue.
The 2026 Corvette's PDR doesn't actually start recording automatically on every startup the way most owners expect. Here's what's happening and how to fix it:
The Real Behavior (Known Bug/Quirk)
The "Automatic Recording" setting remembers whether PDR was recording when you shut the car off, not whether to start fresh each time :
If you manually turn PDR off before parking → it won't auto-start next time
If you leave PDR recording when you shut off → it will auto-resume next startup
Workarounds
Option 1: Don't turn PDR off when parking (recommended)
Leave PDR recording running continuously
It records in a loop, overwriting old files when full
With a large enough SD card (128GB+), you'll have several days of footage
Option 2: Force the auto-record to "learn"
Start the car with it already running
Start PDR recording manually without shutting off
Shut the car off with PDR still recording
Next startup should auto-start recording

How to Verify It's Recording
Check for the red recording icon on the info screen when you start driving .
This is a known issue affecting 2024-2026 C8 Corvettes, and some owners have needed warranty service if the PDR module itself is defective .

Yup. If it's formatted correctly which it must be as it's recording data , it's not the card . Another suggestion was to disconnect the battery for a few minutes for a hard reset although........ see post #12 .
