2026 Interior.

Hate this click bait. Not your fault obviously but why do they annoy people with this nonsense.
The shots of the interior are legit, though not photographed at the Bash. Here are the original pics.

Those are better shots. Not sure if I like it as well as the way it is now but I suppose you’d have to sit in it to decide. Interesting though. Thanks for digging this up.

Thanks for the link Bob.
Doesn't look very good for the passenger. Controls are further away now. Plus it looks cheaper to me. Not that I'll be buying another. lol

So who is going to buy a 2026 to get the new interior? Not I! My wife could use that handle when I drive aggressively though. :D I do not like those piano style buttons. What we have is more aggressive/fighter jet. Anyway, it still the best car on the road, for the price.

The grab handle looks quite high and possibly not that passenger user friendly for spirited driving or the Ron Fellows instructor guest on track ride along. I also don’t need 3 screens of information, thank you. I like the wall, made the C8 unique. This design change not huge by any stretch removes that distinction and brings the C8 dash layout slightly closer to that of other existing Chevrolet products.

If this change the look to other GM products, it would take away the distinctive design that ia unique to the C8. I am not sure I would like that.
This reminded me the interchangeable of the Cobalt SS and C6 steering wheel? lol..

Here are some thoughts I posted on a US forum:

The original interior was an integrated design. This one, to me, seems less so. Rather than starting from a clean slate, it's more "Let's get rid of the wall of buttons and make the phone charger more convenient." Then everything else was in response to what those changes forced. Rather than starting with "How can we logically lay out all the controls," its "Now there's no room for all those buttons, so let's figure out how to work around that." Rather than "let's put the mode control and the front lift and camera buttons close to hand so they're easy for the driver to use," it's "Hmm, with the the phone charging pad there, there's no longer any room on the console, so how can we fit those controls now?" The design is reactionary, rather than focused. In a driver's car, the controls should take precedence over a phone charger. In this design, it's the exact opposite.

I'm also not sure why they felt the need to remove the cover over the cupholders, except to save a few bucks on the cover, hinges and latch. Looks like there's plenty of room and could have left the cupholder setup exactly the same.

I do like the addition of the 3rd screen, though that will really depend on what they've done with the primary display. Which we don't know anything about, yet

Where are the rest of the controls that used to be on the "wall"? The four buttons with just a dash on them, I suspect, are used to trigger items that are shown on the screen above them. So instead of just pushing a toggle to change temp, you're going to have to make a selection on the screen and then push buttons. That's less functional and takes your eyes off the road for longer.

Where's the mode selector with the knob gone? Another screen only function, I guess.

I can adjust fan speed on the current wall without looking, by feel only. Not on this setup: you're going to have to look at the IDENTICALLY shaped buttons to find the one you want. Another step backwards.

The screen looks maybe taller, but no wider.

I don't think the grab handle is any lower than the old wall, so I don't think it's going to make the passenger feel any less "isolated" (which most passengers don't complain about anyway) or make the infotainment screen any easier for passengers to use. Having a grab handle is nice, though.

Open cupholders are just dirt collectors. Something else to have to clean regularly. And the phone holder in front of the cupholders is going to be hard to use with a cup in the front one. Probably not as hard as the current one, but still not ideal.

Will be interesting to see how they've rearranged the displays. Looks like directions are being shown where the DIC used to be.

Some of this seems like redesigning it just for the sake of redesigning it, not to make it better or easier to work with. Will need to see it in person and learn about all the missing details, but right now I think I'm glad I have the old interior.

Edit: Also doesn't look like they addressed the one real ergonomic failure of the current interior: the EPB (electric parking brake) button location.

Wow a sunroof!!! I do not know about that. I do like the new dash behind the steering wheel.
