Just leave the trunk open during the car wash!I would install them permanently if I had the coin. Tired of detailing my engine bay from the road debris and occasional weather I drive through...

Clean it afterwards. Get a cleaning wand from Amazon. The inside of the rear window is the biggest pain

Great idea with a large towelpurchase a large beach towel from Walmart.
At car wash, open rear and spread towel across the entire engine bay
Close rear opening and wash car
Remove towel after washing
easy peasy...........
And for the bottom glass open area, Cut and fit a piece of foam pipe insulation
