2024 Stingray GM Employee Pricing Starts Today!

Hey all, new here, trying to decide between a CT5-V (non-BW), CT4-V BW and a 1LT low-spec C8, leaning hard toward the Vette:thumbs:

Does preferred pricing apply to 2025 Corvettes or only 2024s? There is a 1LT somewhat local to me, but it's a 2025...
3 different cars. CT-5 V can be had with all wheel drive and fits 5. CT-4V BW is rear wheel drive, can be had with manual transmission, but tight back seat. C8 is for 2 people only and limited cargo space. Need to figure out your priorities to decide what’s best for you.
I have a C8 and love it, but also have other more practical vehicles as well.

get a C8 and don't look back, non blackwing CT5 and CT4 BW are nothing special
Hoping to...
Agree the CT5-V is somewhat mid, but the tech is amazing for the price.

That's why there is a 90 payment deferral option that started yesterday on the 2024's and there will be no preferred pricing on the 25's at that time.
Understood, it's not an issue of paying for the car, I have a trade-in that I'm currently driving, need to get through the winter.

I'm in a Miata at the moment, literally anything will be more practical. We have another car as well

Then the big question is whether you want a manual. If yes then the decision is easy. If no… well, then you have to decide what fits your lifestyle the best. The CT5 will be the least expensive and the C8 the most, and the CT4BW in between.

Being curious I went onto the build and price part of Chev.ca and noticed that we can no longer search by 1LT, 2LT, 3LT etc. so did a quick inventory search across Canada. Loads of 24s still sitting around which isn't really a surprise with it being winter and just seeing 25s being delivered. But man is inventory piling up...

Roughly there are 331 2024s and 709 2025s...

Ontario:
2024s left over = 162
2025s on lots = 330

Alberta:
2024s = 83
2025s = 108

BC:
2024s = 29
2025s = 62

Sask/Manitoba:
2024s = 11
2025s = 35

Quebec:
2024s = 39
2025s = 142

New Brunswick:
2024s = 6
2025s = 29

Newfoundland:
2024s = 1
2025s = 3

It blow my mind that guys who spent 5 years complaining about C8 buying experience, those who have been saying that they would buy a C8 once they are at MSRP or once there are no wait lists, or once they are on the lot with discounts but most still haven’t bought one.

In my opinion, there's a few very good reasons for the slide in demand:
  1. There are lot's of people that used the 'shortage' of the past as a lame excuse, as they were simply never buying one in the first place.
  2. The economy in general isn't that great, (nor is the political climate) and some may be coming to the realization it's not their time to buy a 'toy'.
  3. A few may even be waiting at this point for the availability of the ZR1, or the next generation C9.
Regardless of the reasons, I don't think we need to worry about bailing out G.M. just yet.
As for those still 'sitting on the fence', patiently waiting for that ultra-terrific 'deal'; good luck with that, but don't bitch when it doesn't transpire.

Ha! I'm winter driving my C8. It's seen snow once so far...
This is my plan as well; I can't see it being all that different to any other RWD performance car in the winter, be it a Supra/Miata/Mustang, although the crazy wide tires might be an issue?

It's no different than winter driving a 911 which I've done for years. Weight is just over the rear axle and handles well.

Unless you live somewhere that receives a ton of snow, then I find it perfectly fine.

I got stuck in light snow once and it wasn't enjoyable. Yes, they are all seasons, but not snows. I'd recommend snows if it's a daily driver.

I wish that were the case when I decided to take the plunge but have no regrets at all. Certainly a buyers market right now which is great for those now making the move. I’m happy for them not remorseful ! Just like stocks , you can’t predict the market.

Talk is cheap. Corvettes, not so much.

Ha . -40 here this morning. Ambient. But the wind chill is only-52 so there’s that. I think mine will stay in storage for a while yet, lol . Not that I wouldn’t love to be driving it but I’m not that cruel….. :rolleyes:
