In 2019 a base Z06 was priced at $97,885. the base Stingray was priced at $69,185, for a difference of $28,700. On average, the base price of a C8 Stingray has gone up by approximately $1550 each model year. This would set the base price of a 2023 Stingray at approximately $74,650. Adding $28700 to $74650 would set the base price of a 2023 Z06 at $103,350.00. My guess $104,998. Too conservative? What's your guess?

Have some fun configuring a 2019 Z06: 2019 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 | Build And Price | Chevrolet Canada

My guess is that there will be few dealers anymore offering at MSRP. (There are few now). The ones that use allocations to stock their showroom floor and then sell at market value will sticker the Z06 at +/- $175,000 and will sell them.... JMO
Oh boy, I hope this will not be the case.

If the value the Z06 is greater than $100K, get ready to pay Trudeau's new "Luxury Tax" which comes into effect Jan 1, 2022. Tax will be the lesser of 10% of the total cost or 20% on any amount over $100K. The kicker will be GST gets added to that price (pay tax on tax). If the car prices out at $150K, using +20% on $50K will add $10K to the price which will be $160K + GST

Just watched Conti and their dealership has gone to a bidding process for the Z06/7. So MSRP will mean nothing but a starting point for a bid on this car. Even those who have waited for years on a list for this car will now be thrown into the bidding war mix. He stated they have 500 requests for a spot on the list specifically for this car now.
The question now, is what are the other dealers going to do? I think most dealers will take this opportunity to get what they can for this rare car and only those in the high net worth will actually become owners of a Z06.
it will be interesting to follow what happens , stay tuned.

Ya that’s the thing, Conti always bashed the over list dealers and how ethical his dealership was at a fair process the get a C8. Given the “eyeballs” on his website it will for sure influence other dealers to think the same way. They most likely will justify selling C8 at MSRP, ( if they do) but exclude the Z06 due to way smaller volumes/demand and get as much as they can for this new model only.
As I said , it will be interesting to follow, but my thinking is that you will never see Z06 clear the curb for less than $200k C , unless a dealer sells this car at MSRP and I think they will be very few. J M O

Hey folks, new to the forum... put my deposit down yesterday on a C8 Z06, tentative delivery sometime in 2023. No idea on pricing yet.

Why all this "doom and gloom"?

As I posted elsewhere, 2 of the 3 dealers in my City (Edmonton) that I contacted a few months ago are selling the Z06 at MSRP. I'm on a list with one of them (#16). The dealer I bought my C8 Stingray from in Calgary, is selling at MSRP and has confirmed same in writing to me, back in December 2020. They previously gave me the same written confirmation for the Stingray. I'm #5 on their list and expect/hope to get one first-round, unless (heaven forbid) these COVID delays continue. I think there will be many Canadian and US dealers selling the Z06 at MSRP. Sure we'll have those who ask for more and us buyers have only ourselves to blame for fostering that. We need to shop around and reward the good dealers with our business. Those more reliable dealers will continue to sell any GM product at MSRP (maximum) since they value their reputation and customer base and make their profit at MSRP and know people have long memories, IMO. I'd be very surprised if the dealer sponsors on these Forums don't follow suit. Perhaps I'm a "glass half full" person but there's my 2 cents.

The US is getting first crack at the Z06. Canada, well GM will throw us a bone. I think many dealers will try to get top dollar. Supply and demand is what it's all about and the demand is high. This car will be somewhat limited in that the engines are hand built. Unless GM get more techs building them, they'll only be able to put out a few cars daily, keeping supply tight.

If demand is higher than for the Stingray and the profit is higher than the Stingray you will see as many as they can build. But your right about the hand built part. It requires resources other than hands as well.
Edit: My bad. I replaced "C8" with "Stingray" lol
