2 questions for my C6 Z06 (parts to buy)

I decided 2 years ago that I needed a backup camera in my C6Z.
I had always been disappointed in the sound quality of the head unit, but as
mentioned earlier the engine purr was all that mattered.
I installed a Sony head AX5500 to get the camera, but was amazed how it
improved the sound quality using the same speakers.
I purchased it from Crutchfield who I highly recommend. They suppy a complete
master install manual and a list of all components required. I installed in a couple of hours.
I saved the original head unit for a future enthusiast to re-install when they want originality.

So I ended up buying an FM transmitter,
It works well but when I crank up the volume it becomes static and pops (everytime there is some kind of bass)
I bought this one from Amazon
FM Transmitter

I'm thinking about buying another one and trying it to see if a different model is better, but I'm wondering if this is just a limitation of what these kinds of transmitters can do?

Don't waste your money on another FM transmitter interface . . .
1) Most importantly, you are adding bluetooth RF noise & FM radio RF noise directly between the FOB in your pocket and the FOB antenna at the left edge of the glove box. Don't be surprised if you start getting random "no FOB detected" errors.
2) The stock stereo IS sucky. Doing what you tried, there is audio quality degradation in the bluetooth protocol and then again in the FM. And if you are streaming from spotify say, that source is compromised too. So by the end of it all, you are listening to the equivalent of a really crappy MP3 on a crappy stereo.

As mentioned before, it was 2011 when they added a USB input. Using that with a hard drive with WAV files, I can get my stock system to sound pretty good for a convertible. But it's still far from great.

As everyone else has said, the only way to do it properly is to replace the head unit. And Crutchfield is the best source of one. They can supply all the custom cables, adaptors, bezels, etc to make the install pretty much plug n play. Oh, and make sure it's a name-brand unit (Sony, Panasonic, Pioneer, JVC).
