2 hours I'll never get back, 3M tinting???

I bought 3M 35% Colour Stable tint over the internet, $120 for the side and rear window. The package arrived and the cardboard tube was bent, so when I pulled out the tint, it had creases. I was told these would iron out with a hot blow dryer. I cut the film, sprayed soapy water on my window after cleaning it 3 times and spent the next two hours trying to get the creases out. Needless to say it didn't work. The tint, garbage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone know a good tint shop around Newmarket?

BTW I went very light, it appears dark against the white. I took his advice and I am glad I did.

I am not sure what percentage it is. I told him I wanted the darkest I could go and be legal. He talked me out of it and went lighter. I am glad I did, I can actually use my mirrors at night without the windows down. I will see if I can find out what percentage it is.

I am guessing 20% and what you originally wanted was 5%. let me know if possible, doing my tint next week

I found a place and I am going with Llamar Pinnacle 35% which is legal, $305 plus tax for all windows.

So, had the car done with Formula One Pinnacle 30%, rear and side windows. No difference visibly between the 35% and the 30% (checked, 30% is ok under Ontario HTA ). Super job, quite happy with the results. Now, I'm looking to have the front windshield done, from the exterior, similar to the headlights with a clear film. Hopefully this will avoid small chips in the glass. Has anyone done this? Will the film effect the function of the wipers, eg. will they skip or smear?

Interesting tyho. I've never heard of people putting a film on the windshield. If the film is smooth, I imagine it should wipe the same....but have never seen it done...

I've seen a few white C7s around and yours is definitely the nicest. Your tint guy knows what he's talking about. Any thoughts on black wheels?

Thank you Tinman. I ordered the car with black wheels and they went on constraint. I am going to get black rims on the car over the winter. I do not like the machined wheels on the car and think the black will defiantly as to the look of the car,
