Hey....new user here.
Have a 1980 with its orginal diff untouched, it's leaking from the pinion seal and I have the diff removed from the car. Is measuring the depth of the pinion nut on the pinion and counting the turns to remove an accurate way of removing the pinion nut and replacing after the seal

Welcome to the forum Cracker. This New User section is more for saying hi and introducing yourself and your car. You will have better luck after your intro with posting your question in the C3 section. Lots of knowledge here for all generations so I'm sure you will get some responses.
