1975 Rear Bumper Cover Gone Bad!

I thought it was just the reflection from being so shiny.

The orig set have a very flat top surface and crisp edge where the sides meet whereas the replacements have a very slight roundness to them. You'd see the difference if I used the orig V amongst the others; and sure as...you know...the only posts that would be different are the ones on the V if I was to drill the holes based upon the orig V this weekend. BTW, I decided to replace them as the orig ones have some pits and "bubbles" caused by corrosion over the years - so the plan is to make it all shiny and new. As of today however, I'm one V short of a great plan!

Ah, I see the difference now. Too bad. :(

All's well that ends well

Received the "V", and now it's drilled, painted and installed...just have to paint the bumper pads once the white has aged a bit more. Thanks to all who contributed to this superb thread and made this task much easier!

Great job Doug! Looks like a brand new car now. :D

Really neat job on the installation of the bumper. Have fun this summer with your refurbished ride. Very nice.
