Did GM stop the Speed Model?

I went in January ('24). I called the school, gave them my VIN, and she emailed a list of available dates. There's a huge difference in the price of flights from 1 day to another, so I picked a cheap flight that coincided with school dates. Just under $300, as I recall. United, Toronto to...

    How old are c8 owners?

Ordered my 1st Vette in Jan, '20, at 73. It finally showed 25 months later, a '22. Traded it for a '23 a year later. Still have that one now, at 78.

Car and Driver's E-Ray Lightning Lap Results

I can attest. My former Charger Hellcat (707 HP, 4600 lb) took 3.5 sec 0 to 100 km, the Stingray does it in 2.9 Of course, the Hellcat will walk away from a Stingray at speed. Supposed top is 204 mph. Sidenote, I was recently at the Spring Mountain/Ron Fellows driving school in Pahrump, NV...

    Electrical Question

I once smelled gas (mercaptan) while exiting from a door in our our industrial unit., Oakville, Ontario. 11 pm. There was a typical regulator, meter, and several pipe connections, all outside, 15 feet away. As I got closer, the smell got stronger. I called 911, and 2 fire trucks were there in...

    Electrical Question

I was in intermediate electrical apprentice classes, where the teacher showed us how to suspend a hot dog with 2 alligator clips. 230v does it very fast.

    Electrical Question

Some of you may be interested, after watching the clip of the 14/2 shorted, reminds me of an experiment I did years ago. The heat element of a Weller 150 watt soldering gun (transformer style) is very close in size to a piece of #12 copper. I tightened a bare 4" long loop of 12 on the secondary...

    Electrical Question

I just refreshed my memory by looking at section 26. You're correct. Thanks. Typical sized kitchen counter length will dictate 3 splits, smaller (townhouses) for 2. I prefer splits over single circuit 20 amps, as you can plug 2 hi heat loads into the same outlet.

    Electrical Question

When I was a lad in public school, (50's) we lived in a tiny house that had NO insulation in the walls. In fact, I recall going in the attic and looking down into the open cavity. Heat was from a stove oil heater, adjustable from 1 to 6. On 6, the lower 10" of the inner "tank" would glow red...

    Electrical Question

Just to add a bit more detail, Code calls for 3 split receptacles in a domestic kitchen. All 3 must be supplied by dedicated 2 pole breakers, with the red & black connected to the 2 hots of each receptacle, with the shorting tab removed. It's against Code to extend the circuit beyond that...
