Have a luggage rack on my '73. I understand it was dealer installed. I'm wanting to install a LeMans style gas cap. The rack is off centre by just a bit, 1/16 of an inch approx. Is there any room for adjustment if I loosen the screws a bit? I've read that the holes are on the large size for a small amount of play. If I were to remove a screw completely will I "lose" the other end of the fastener under the fibreglass? Also, the LeMans cap will fit with clearance, but will be close, which is ok.
