I believe its 12 month or 12,000km, but you don't have to wait, but you are risking being banned from buying another new GM vehicle if yours gets exported after you sell it/trade it in.Is it true that you have to wait 12 months and 12000 kilometers to trade in your Corvette for another Corvette? (Excuse my poor English)
The form we signed at the dealership was 6 monthsIs it true that you have to wait 12 months and 12000 kilometers to trade in your Corvette for another Corvette? (Excuse my poor English)

CorrectSeems to be a bit of a grey area even if the dealers.
It is all about the cars heading south into the USA.
if you sell and it stays in Canada…. I believe there Would not have any follow up issues.
Ya, it's all because GM subsidizes the CDN cars and for U.S. citizens it's much cheaper to buy a CDN car than a U.S. car so GM doesn't like their subsidizing wasted.Seems to be a bit of a grey area even if the dealers.

How can a dealer register a lien in a car that is paid for. That being used as a form or market control is illegal. You can sell as you please. It might hurt you ordering a new GM vehicle based on their policy but they cannot in effect stop you selling it. No agreement or contract can take away that right. Some dealers put a lien on your car. Some make you sign a document and some do nothing at all.
