Announcement CCF Chat is almost Here

It has been a while since we've rolled out some fancy features so here goes a biggie:

CCF Realtime chat is here.


A first for any corvette forum we are rolling out real time chat capabilities to CCF allowing you to conduct group or private real time chatting action with any valid CCF member.


A shortlist of what that means to you:

• Create and Join Chat Rooms
• Dedicated guest room with nickname support
• Top chatters page
• Private chat conversations
• Sound, desktop & browser tab notification
• Global and custom user commands
• User image uploads
• CCF Vette Bot notifications for new threads, new posts, new users
• Top chatters widget
• Active users widget

Room options

• Name
• Description
• Password (by request only)
• User groups - Allows you to enable room access based on user group
• Auto-prune messages

Room message features

• Like/Unlike
• Quote
• Link
• Report
• Edit
• Delete

Conversation message features

• Like/Unlike
• Quote
• Report
• Edit
• Delete

When scrolling to the end of the messages in both rooms and conversations, a button will show up to load more messages.

You can also use the /find command followed by a keyword to search for messages.

Well decided to just chance it and roll it out. I'm currently limiting some capabilities as we figure out how to best roll them out but have a go. If you want a particular chat room let me know and we will get one created asap. We can also link it to threads so threads become live chat events.
