My friends Z06 has the infamous tick noise and would like to find a dealer in Ontario that has performed this fix

Some engines can repaired in car others require removal, any members have their Z06 repaired?

Our local dealer is not an option, oil changes are a stretch

What is causing the ticking noise ? The LT2 has the injector ticking but obviously a different engine.

Wow . I would be very disappointed if I had this happen to my new $180,000 vehicle. As would anyone of course. You could say it comes down to the old early adopter fee in a way . Would be surprised if GM didn’t correct the issue for future production units.

One thing the presenter in the below video got right is that for the vast majority of prospective C8 buyers the Stingray is the sweet spot except perhaps for the puffy chested , lol .

Interesting......I assumed the low red line when new acted as a rev limiter, like it does on most new motorcycles.
Once the red line "jumps", it's game on.

C7 Z06 has its fair share of issues also, just bad luck with improperly torqued camshaft caps

C6 Z06 had problems too. I had my LS7 replaced in the last month of power train warranty with only 22k km on it.

Had to fight, but everything worked out.

It’s still a very good amount of tech and performance even at the higher price IMHO .

2020 was 6 model years ago now that 25s are being built so there's no doubt a deal back then.
