"Change oil. Fresh tank of ethanol free fuel. Fuel stabilizer. Wash and wax. Have some form of barrier between the concrete floor and your tires. Cover the car. Install battery maintainer. Walk away. Visit at Christmas and Easter. Do not start the car."

Hello to all. RRuuff Day mentions a barrier between the concrete floor and tires. Not disagreeing, but just wondered why and what type of barrier? Thanks and take care.

I use 2 inch slabs of Styrofoam SM in 4 self built 2 x 2 frames and a 2 x 6 tapered ramp attached. Stapled on non slip cupboard liner on the bottom to keep them from skidding when I drive upon them.

I use a rubber floor tile with a sponge floor tile on top of it.

I agree with most except the pads under the tires, never have done that no probs in 15 years, radial tires will not flatspot. I would add that I place several dryer sheets in the car. Its supposed to keep critters (mice) away. I do not have any scientific proof , but I've never had a critter problem.
