White C8 with red hood decals and a black high rear wing today in Pt Edward ON?

To the driver of the white C8 with some sort of red decals on the front hood, and what looked like a black after market high rear wing, if you frequent this forum, you got very lucky this afternoon. I was driving E/B on Victoria St. in Point Edward ON, and you blew through the stop sign N/B on Albert Street, right in front of me, making a left turn onto Victoria. You had the stop sign, but Victoria St. doesn't, east/west, and I was within 10 yards of the intersection. This has happened to me before, as some people don't realize the cross traffic on Victoria doesn't have to stop at Albert, it's not an All Way. As such, I always slow down to look north south to see if everyone is stopping, since I don't have to, and so today was "no harm, no foul". If you do it again, and it's not me you're cutting off, you may not be so lucky. Just sayin'.

Did you / Do you have PDR of it?
I've had so many like that caught on my PDR it's amazing.
 
Probably. It'll be a long clip, and I'm not video editing savvy. Know of any free simple to use video editing software?
It was no harm, no foul yesterday, so I was prepared to let it go, with this caveat.
We get so few C8s out this way, which made it even more egregious, had he taken out 2 of us.
If the perp visits this forum, maybe he'll see the warning.

I use avidemux, but there are others, like davinci resolve.
You never know when you might want some evidence. I used the PDR video to prove pothole damage to my rim and tire. Some jerk started a pass where it wasn't safe to do it and would have been a head on had I been doing 70 as he was easily doing 90 or more . I was luckily already braking to get into my driveway. It could have been devastating. I also caught a dump truck going through a red light followed by a motorcycle (video below).

A while back, I had a drunk driver or medical emergency (not sure which) almost head on me on a nearby road.
I found some sftwr to cut the clip out, but can't recall which pgm it was, or where I found it.
I guess the best advice is, shut the PDR off regularly, to shorten the clips.

If you use windows you can play the pdr file in whatever video player you have and use windows clipping tool to record part of the screen that has video playing in it. You can start and stop it at the spot you want to record and it will save that clip. BTW a new pdr file is created whenever you start the car. A short trip has a short file.

Avidemux is absolutely free and supported by open source users. It has a simple interface that's uncomplicated. Set in point and outpoint and hit delete or copy etc.
I use Windows snipping tool to capture and post Facebook videos on here. It's simple once you try it.
For PDR's I can use that same method, but I use Avidemux since I have it set to make MKV's and resize them etc.

Handbrake is not an editor. I use it a lot for compressing videos from Bluray.
 
Certainly not a full blown editor but more than adequate to shorten a PDR recording. And quite easy to do unlike some of its more advanced features.

Handbrake is primarily a video transcoder, not a full-featured video editor, but it does offer some basic editing capabilities. Here’s what you can do with Handbrake:
Basic Editing Features in Handbrake
Trimming Videos
You can trim videos by specifying start and end times:
1. Open Handbrake and select your video file
2. In the top section, change the “Range” dropdown to “Seconds”
3. Enter the start time in the first box and end time in the second box

Learn something new every day. I wonder when they added that. I've been using it for years and either they added it or I never noticed it. lol

That’s one of the best things about open source software projects. Lots of contributors who aren’t concerned with the bottom line. New features are added fairly often. Fantastic program but can be tricky to get the most out of it. Definitely quite the learning curve . Haven’t tried/installed the Cosworth Toolbox but I don’t think it’s able to edit footage oddly enough. Viewing only as far as I know.

Me neither. Not sure I ever will. I don't have any use for it.
