Thanks for the welcome .. We (my wife and I) just bought our first Vette, a 1976 Red Corvette, I posted some pics. It’s a project car, the pervious owner botched the paint job (he has suggested “buffing it out” as he said “it’s just the clear coat, that ran”). My initial thought are to strip it and start fresh. The engine isn’t numbers matching (as the previous owner suggested) and the cabin is in pieces and missing all of the cargo area components. The engine is leaking anti-freeze and there is a lot of attention required to other front end components. The plan is to make a list and start walking through it. Based on some initial reading and research my thoughts are to do a tear down and start from the bottom up.

Welcome and good luck with your project. There have been a number of restoration projects on C3 on the forum, lots of reading and studying pictures however a wealth of knowledge you folks.
