This has nothing to do with cars, but rather something that happened to me very recently. Not that anyone really cares but at 7 months old I was separated from my biological father. I was raised by my grand parents as an only child not knowing anything about my real Dad.
The other day my biological father reached out to me.
He said they had been searching for me for many, many years. I was told they had friends, family, and private investigators looking for me. A year ago I signed up to Facebook and by doing so they were finally able to locate me.
I went from an only child to the oldest of a fairly large family. 4 sisters and 1 brother.
I'll be heading to Winnipeg mid March for family reunion. It should be a very interesting but exciting meeting with a father that I haven't seen in 61 years..

Wow Rick. What an incredible story. How exciting to discover an entire family and learn they have been looking for you for years.

Congratulations Pal! You must feel like a million bucks today.

So far this year: A supercharger on on the Vette and discovering your family. It's barely February!

I suggest buying loto tickets as it looks like your year.

Incredible. Cannot imagine the range of emotions Rick.

Did you ever try to search for your father? This is a story that we hope you will follow up for us.

Hope it all works out.

One of the things I found out yesterday one of my sisters lived a block away from me when I lived in Whiterock. I problay stood in line with her at Safeways.

I was going to say... how often does this happen?? Probably been driving by her house or work for years. Or like you say,in line at Safeway.

Very cool !!

Wow Rick. Now that is a feel good story. Not just for you but for everyone in your family and the people you share it with. Put a big smile on my face when I read that just now and on Brenda's when I read it to her. There are times through our lives when we think things just can't get any better. This is proof they can. Very happy for you.

do not know much about you and your wife but both of you seem normal and very nice folks, seriously

just take it slow a bit as ther is much to catch up on and no one is perfect,

all should be ok but sometimes others get jealous of the new kid on the block

you will have fun really good news thanks for sharing

Jeff

Wow Rick !!! March can not come fast enough .... I look forward to updates on this for you.
Assuming the majority of your Family is Winnipeg based, you are going to be so busy introducing your Family
to the "Corvette Family" of yours if we are blessed for that to happen at MITM.
I would love to nominate Rick to lead the pack as we roll into Winnipeg ... should that be something that can happen and he (you Rick) would like to do.

Thanks everyone for your good wishes. I'm even more excited now after reading all your comments. I'll be sure to post all new updates as they come in. Its already becoming a very interesting year.
I can lead Spence but you'l have to draw me a map. Better give the task to someone that knows Winnipeg. Thanks anyway.
