THE dumbest thing ever. I have 3 huge clocks about 15' up in my shop to change. All my vehicles and equipment. Every clock in our house. And let's not mention all the wristwatches....lol. I know it's a "first world" problem but it's one of those things that leaves me scratching my head.
Totally agree. If the referendum instructions hadn't been so confusing on this item we wouldn't be doing this anymore. there were nearly 50,000 ballots on this item rejected. I can't count how many people I've talked to that misread the voting choice on this and thought they voted to keep the time constant but actually voted against it.

The Premier addressed that issue yesterday and indicated a new referendum is likely but also suggested we may follow what happens south of 49. There is push in the US Congress to move to DST as a constant.

Ontario says it is waiting on Quebec and New York to change. Damn it for once just be a figging leader not a follower and change it, who cares what the other two do or do not do.

It's been proven changing the time causes more accidents and deaths and even heart attacks. But if it's political thats just collateral damage. They don't care. And why are we waiting to see what Quebec does with it?
Quebec and New York may be waiting to see what Ontario does. Just get rid of it and they'll follow. The stars will eventually align.

Ontario is not "waiting" they are talking to New York and Quebec. You can't just change it willy nilly. Anyone have any idea how many clocks we have that will change regardless? My in floor heating controller for one. They will be useless if they remove the changeover.
Except for one. My smart watch all of a sudden got dumb and won't connect to my phone anymore, so it's stuck in standard time. LOL

They would leave it at DST. So more light at night in the winter also.
The morning drive to work would be in the dark for many in the winter. To me it's a trade off.
I'm retired so I don't care much either way, but I'd vote to get rid of it because so many do care.
It is gaining a lot of momentum in the U.S. as well as here in Ontario and B.C.
DST woulds have given you the extra time in the evening year round

My honda accord lost its mind and stays in standard time all year. Its a PIA in the winter because you always think you are late(LOL)
