Hello,
Just thought that I should share this news story from Miami channel 7.

Apparently thieves may have found a way to either clone a FOB (doubtful as it should be in sleep mode based on what I gather from the article).

This is purely speculation on my part, but they (thieves) may have found a way to read from the cars CANBUS system or the owner may have been in a compromised position to allow thieves to capture transmission data at another instance/time/place between the FOB and car.
From the report the thieves parked at the end of the victims driveway and the car apparently chirped and they returned about 1 hour later walked up and opened the door and drove off with the owners C8.

Too vague to figure out what happened. How long had the car been idle for example. Was it locked? Could they have cloned the fob much earlier? Was their camera triggered to motion? Mine sometimes capture motion and sometimes don't.
Inquiring minds want to know….. ;)
