Has anyone had success setting a favourite phone contact in the phone settings? I've searched YouTube and Google and cannot find anything on it.

That's totally a phone thing unless it's an android auto apple carplay thing. I have no idea about the latter.
As Murray says it’s basically a “ phone thing “ probably similar deal with IPHONE OR ANDROID. I know that when Android Auto mirrors my phone screen/ contacts list it’s obviously the same as looking at your phone. Just put your favourites at the top of your phone contacts list and you should be good………this is from the owners manual below.
Calls can be made through the Bluetooth
system using personal cell phone contact
information for all cell phones that support
the Phone Book feature. Become familiar
with the cell phone settings and operation
and that the phone is set to allow the
sharing of contacts over Bluetooth with the
vehicle. Verify the cell phone supports this
feature and that the phone is set to allow
the sharing of contacts over Bluetooth wIth the vehicle.
To make a call using the Contacts menu:
1. Touch the Phone icon on the Home Page
or on the shortcut tray near the left of
the display.
2. Touch Contacts.
3. There are two methods to search for
contacts:
. Search bar – Touch the search icon
on the top right of the Phones
window and type the name or
number of the contact on the
keyboard. Search results will be
displayed corresponding to the user
input. Touch the name to call.
. Scroll – Touch the list and scroll,
or use the scrollbar on the left side
of the Phones window. Touch the
Name to call.
I must be missing something here but I just push the phone button on the wheel and say "call and the name". and it just picks the name in my phone contacts and places the call. I don't have or need a favorites list.
Don't want the wife to see the GF's number on top of the list anyway! LOL
When my phone connects it does show my contacts list on the screen in the car of course, in the same order as on my phone. Android. If he reorders his contacts then he can have the most called numbers at the top of the screen or just tell it what to do as you said. Also on Android at least favourites are listed first anyway. Wasn’t exactly sure what he was after. A friend of mine was showing me all of the fancy infotainment features in his new Ford truck regarding voice control etc . Lol , do you think it would do anything he asked accurately ? Nope . Too funny really, he was pissed as the truck was only a week old.
